Sarah is a Senior Associate specialising in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She has a wide ranging practice covering many areas of law including: contractual disputes, company, shareholder and partnership disputes, property disputes, debt recovery, insolvency related matters, intellectual property disputes and professional negligence.
She has successfully pursued and defended numerous claims on behalf of a number of high net worth individuals and companies both in the High Court and county courts. Her experience ranges from advising individuals and small companies on routine debt claims to handling large complex multi-party, multi-jurisdictional disputes.
Sarah has advised and acted for a number of company directors advising on claims for wrongful trading, misfeasance, breach of fiduciary duty, unlawful preferences and transactions at an undervalue as well as advising on Company Directors Disqualification proceedings. She has also pursued and acted on a number of unregistered design right and copyright claims in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.
With considerable knowledge of court practice and procedure, Sarah is able to provide clear and comprehensive advice to clients on all aspects of dispute resolution including on settlement of disputes by alternative means (such as mediation and arbitration) where litigation may prove to be commercially unviable.
Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 2006.
Acting for a business group comprising over 120 companies worldwide and advising them on a number of multi-party, cross-jurisdictional contractual debt claims.
Acting for the director of a large building services contractor in relation to claims for wrongful trading, misfeasance / breach of fiduciary duty, unlawful preferences and transactions at an undervalue.
Acting on a company restoration application on behalf of the administratrix and sole residuary beneficiary of her late sibling’s will to recover monies paid to the Treasury.
Acting on a family partnership dispute involving the taking of an account covering a 27-year period.
Acting on a high profile company / shareholder dispute involving a lengthy mediation and successful out-of-court settlement for the client.
