Senior Associate

Chris has substantial experience of complex and high value commercial litigation matters, with a particular focus on civil fraud, corporate and shareholder disputes, and contentious insolvency and trusts matters.

Chris has acted for a broad range of clients including multinational corporations and high net worth individuals, across a range of sectors. He has notable experience of cross-border litigation and contested trials.

Chris has been recognised as a Leading Associate in the Legal 500 (2026) and as an Associate to Watch in Chambers and Partners (2026). Respondents described Chris as “a real fraud expert, fantastically intelligent, wise beyond his years and energetic”, and said “Chris Parsons is going to be a superstar practitioner: he’s hard working, but also a brilliant lawyer”.

Chris qualified as a solicitor in 2019 and joined Gresham in November 2025. Prior to joining Gresham Legal, Chris worked in a leading international firm.

Chris’s representative experience includes:

  • Acting for a high net worth individual in £60m proceedings for breach of warranty and unlawful means conspiracy.

  • Acting for a global pharmaceuticals company in complex €60m proceedings for breach of contract and deceit, involving related civil and criminal proceedings in Tunisia and Belgium.

  • Jaffé v Greybull Capital LLP [2024] EWHC 2534 (Comm) – Acting for the administrator of Wirecard Bank in a high-profile 5-week trial concerning allegations of fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Acting on contentious insolvency matters arising from the administration of Ted Baker.

  • Acting for a global mobile phone manufacturer in connection with urgent injunctive proceedings arising out of a $100m+ contractual dispute involving counterparties in China and the US.

  • Acting for a high net worth individual and related companies in respect of a substantial multi-party, multi-jurisdictional derivative claim brought by a Jersey trustee in connection with alleged breaches of trust and dishonesty.

  • Qatar Investment and Project Development Holding Co v Phoenix Ancient Art S.A. – Acting for a Swiss antiques dealer in respect of high-value art fraud proceedings, which case determined the court’s approach in relation to whether to grant an extension of time to serve a claim form out of the jurisdiction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Christoforou v Christoforou & Anor [2020] EWHC 1196 (Ch); Docklock Ltd v C Christo & Co Limited [2021] EWHC 308 (Ch). – Acting for high net worth individuals in respect of a multiplicity of claims brought in the High Court.
