Associate

Elizabeth is a junior associate with a wide range of experience in complex commercial litigation. She has represented clients including multinational corporations, private UK companies and ultra-high-net worth individuals, in proceedings before the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Elizabeth has particular experience in commercial disputes including civil fraud disputes, financial services and banking related disputes, contractual disputes and cross-border contentious trusts.

Elizabeth qualified as a solicitor in April 2023. Prior to joining Gresham Legal, Elizabeth worked at another specialist disputes practice for four years, Cooke, Young & Keidan LLP, where she completed a period of recognised training and simultaneously completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.

 

 

Elizabeth’s representative experience includes:

  • Topalsson GmbH v Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited [2023] EWHC 2092 (TCC): Acting for a German software development company and successfully defending an anti-suit injunction brought by the luxury car manufacturer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, in respect of the proceedings brought in the Central District of California, USA.

  • GI Globinvestment Ltd & Ors v XY ERS UK & Ors: Acting for two corporate entities in respect of a very substantial financial services dispute.

  • Bucher-Haefner v Lewinsohn & Anor [2022] EWHC 2080 (Ch): Representing the Claimant in a Part 8 Claim for an anti-suit injunction in respect of litigation brought in Utah, USA.

  • PTNZ v AS & Ors [2020] EWHC 3114 (Ch): Acting for four UHNW individuals in a contentious trust dispute in respect of approx. EUR 400 million of family assets.

  • Morley v The Royal Bank of Scotland [2020] EWHC 88 (Ch): Acting for a property developer in his claim for damages against the Defendant bank.

  • Acting for a business owner in his claim for consequential loss against the Defendant bank in relation to mis-sold financial products.
