Emma has substantial experience in a wide range of international commercial litigation matters across the firm’s core practice areas, with a specific focus on civil fraud, contractual disputes, IT disputes, class actions and anti-bribery, corruption investigations.

Emma has acted for multinational companies and high-net-worth individuals in a range of complex and high-value matters.

Prior to joining Gresham Legal, Emma worked in a specialist disputes firm in London. Prior to that, Emma worked for a number of years in the disputes team of a major international law firm. Emma’s experience in the profession extends beyond her qualification date and she is a highly valued member of the team.

Emma read Law at Queen Mary, University of London gaining an LLB (Hons), before obtaining a distinction in her LPC.

Emma’s representative experience includes:

  • Represented one of multiple defendants in relation to a £1.2bn multi-party fraud claim brought by the Kuwaiti Public Institution for Social Security Fund (the public pension fund of the state of Kuwait). This case is listed in The Lawyers Top 20 cases for 2025.

  • Assisted in various SFO investigations in relation to allegations of fraud, bribery and corruption for corporate entities.

  • Assisted in a multi group litigation brought against a renowned vehicle manufacturer in the defence of an emission-based claim.

  • Acted in a contractual dispute for one of the world’s largest information technology companies in relation to a dispute over a failed implementation of an IT system. This case was listed in The Lawyers Top 20 cases for 2020.

  • Acted for the largest publicly held food company in the world in relation to a dispute with their distributor after a contamination of salmonella and the resulting damages which followed.

  • Advised on a private client matter in respect of potential possession enforcement proceedings.
